The Hebrew University Center for Sustainable Food Systems (FOOJI) seeks to solve one of the greatest challenges of our time — transforming the global food chain to provide food security, health, equity, and resilience in the face of climate change, population growth and fast urbanization. Feeding an ever-expanding population requires innovative strategies in food creation and production as well as substantial improvements in both the local and global food chains to ensure food security for all with minimal effect on the environment and natural resources. Meeting this challenge requires an innovative research approach, bringing together experts from different academic disciplines, and partnership with the public sector and industry.
FOOJI cordially extends an invitation to distinguished candidates to submit nominations for the prestigious Brian Y. Davidson Award for Outstanding Contributions to Sustainable Food Systems.
This esteemed award, accompanied by a $10,000 honorarium*, will be bestowed upon a preeminent professional who has demonstrated exceptional contributions through scientific publications and/or advocacy in the realm of sustainable food systems.
The Brian Y. Davidson Award seeks to honor contributions that have an enduring impact on our food systems. Interdisciplinary works with multi-sectoral impact will be highly regarded.
The recipient will be honored with the opportunity to present their seminal work at the FOOJI annual conference, scheduled for mid to late September 2024.
