
Open to researchers in water technology – no application deadline
The Young Scientists Exchange Program (YSEP) supports early-career researchers from Israel and Germany in gaining international experience and building academic collaborations in water technology. The program is part of the German-Israeli cooperation in this field, funded by the Israeli Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
Who Can Apply
Citizens or residents of Israel or Germany who are:
- M.Sc. or diploma students
- PhD candidates
- Postdoctoral researchers (up to 3 years after PhD)
Program Details
- Research stays of 1 to 6 months
- Host institution must be in the partner country
- Rolling admission – no deadline
Funding Includes
- €1,830/month (or €61/day for partial months) for living and accommodation expenses
- Partial coverage of travel and extraordinary expenses is available upon request and approval
- The lump sum includes the costs for additional insurances (health, accident, luggage, private liability) that shall be contracted by the candidates for the period of their stay abroad according to the agreement.
Funding is transferred to the German host institution for administrative disbursement.
Final Report
A short report must be submitted within two months after the research stay.
