Auditing Academic Courses
The Academic Auditing program enables members of the general public to participate in a variety of courses at the Hebrew University’s Faculty of Humanities. Registrants receive an academic auditor ID that can be used to enter the university grounds, participate in lectures, access the Moodle learning platform, and loan library books.
Study at the Robert H. Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment
Much of the research conducted at the Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment is applied research, the results of which are evident in the fields of Agriculture, Industry, and Society.
The faculty’s External Studies Department enables sharing the vast knowledge accumulated at the faculty with the general public via various enrichment programs. Courses at the department are also open to undergraduate and graduate students at the Faculty of Humanities and tailored courses are available for students from developing countries.
Coursera – Online Higher Education
Coursera offers hundreds of online courses from more than 200 academic institutions around the world in a range of areas including Medicine, Literature, History, Computer Science, and much more. Courses include online lectures, reading assignments, homework, discussion groups, and exams. To date, more than three million students from 190 countries learn Coursera courses.
The platform was created in 2012 by two researchers at Stanford University – Daphne Koller and Andrew Ng. Hebrew University was one of the first institutions to join the platform, in that same year, a decade ago.
