The Office of the General Counsel provides ongoing legal consultation services to the university administration and its various units, pertaining to all university activities. The office assists university leadership with all legal queries and concerns that may arise in the course of their duties. Legal services provided by the office include assessments, drafting contracts, engagements, tenders, procedures, and more.
When necessary, Office of the General Counsel lawyers represent the university in courts, labor courts, and before Government authorities. Office representatives participate in Knesset committee meetings on issues that are significant to the university, or to higher education in general – in coordination with the Committee of University Heads.
Our aim is that the actions of the university and its leadership remain in accordance with the law. To this end, the Office of the General Counsel provides the university authorities with ongoing legal updates and assistance in adjusting university procedures according to legislative changes.
The Office of the General Counsel is located on the second floor of the Administrative building, at the Mount Scopus campus in Jerusalem.
